They say families who live in dome homes are more connected to the earth. The Cromwells definitely confirm that theory. This family and anniversary session took place over a year ago and I love it more today than ever!
I had purchased a new lens I needed to try out, and Lauren is one of the many family and friends who said YES to sessions that have helped me progress in my business. I am eternally grateful. Lauren not only put together gorgeous outfits, but pulled out her dried bouquet from her wedding and Welder’s legendary wedding boots. What a trip down memory lane!
My nephew, Welder, and Lauren met in high school and knew it was love at first sight, but didn’t date until years later. They married in the lush rainforest in La Push, Washington. Rain on your wedding day is supposed to be good luck because it signifies that your marriage will last. As you know, a knot that becomes wet is extremely hard to untie - therefore, when you “tie the knot” on a rainy day, your marriage is supposedly just as hard to unravel! As Lauren says, the most memorable part of the day… it was POURING! Surrounded by family, it couldn’t have been more special.
Today, Welder is a paramedic who loves hunting, fishing and exploring the outdoors. Lauren, a self-taught permaculturist, is interested in living closer to the land. Vintage is in their blood. It is classic rock and clothing for her and suburbans and a VW bug for him. Sweet Ruby, named after a favorite destination (Ruby Beach known for its red-colored minerals in the sand) is almost six and loves gardening and the outdoors as much as her mom and dad. Creativity and crafts bring her ideas to life.
I enjoyed every minute of this family/anniversary session. Can’t wait to do it again. Until then, please enjoy a few of my favorites.
Thanks for stopping by,
Roberta
